Every amateur photographer always starts from the basics. And if you do plan of joining the photography world sooner or later, I bet you should be reading the following tips if you are determined enough to succeed with these hobby.
1. Always have an idea at the back of your mind on what type of photos you would like to capture and how you would like your final photos to appear. Your brain is your very own camera. Try to visualize how you would like your photos to be taken, the styles, and what subject you would like to give attention to before you click your camera. Always try to imagine things. Frame the photos in your very own mind. Imagination plus creativity is a skill every photographer should have.
2. Go out and watch movies. Most photographers although not all are movie goers. Watching movies shows still images which could give you concepts on your next photo session.
3. Read. Read. Read. Try to read good books, magazines or in the internet for photography techniques which you could apply to develop your photographic skills. Apply these newly acquired techniques to your work.
4. Play with the twenty steps. Haven’t heard of it? Well, these are some of the unknown secrets of some of the photographers out there. You should try to go out some time and take a walk. walk twenty steps, stop, look around and take a picture on different unusual angle, an abstract or close up one. Walk another twenty steps and then repeat. Do this exercise in repetition. You might think that it’s a waste of time, but it isn’t. This exercise has been proven to develop your eyes ability to capture images through precision and accuracy. You will learn to look more deeply on your surroundings on different angles, be it in close up as well as wide.
Photography especially for starters is always a challenging experience. Your camera is the very essential component for your success in the field. For all my photography sessions, I always use my favorite Canon Power Shot SX20 IS. I usually buy Canon Power Shot SX20 IS at my most trusted store. I recommend this camera to every aspiring photographer out there. Works simply the best!
