News and reviews about the Canon EOS 1000D

Have you ever had a perfect day? How about
the opposite, how about both the same day?
A day you laugh a day you cry and about everything
in between. I had a day like that recently, it
was simply crazy. For those of you who are not
photographers it is hard to explain the perfect
shot, it just does not come along much for most
of us. It came to me today and I even had my camera
with me! Dawn had just broken and the light was
perfect, a huge Bull Elk was getting out of his
bed and was framed by the dawn, I clicked and
nothing… my battery was dead. I reached into my
pocket and pulled out my backup and hoped that
it had actually charged. I had gotten a Canon SD750 Charger
from SterlingTEk and charged my battery in the
car on the way up the mountain, but I had never
tested it out. I almost dropped it slipping it
in to the camera, I eased up for a second I could
not see him, he had frozen still having heard my
fumbling but still did not know where I was. I
eased the camera up and snapped. What happened
next was a site to behold, I am guessing that old
bull was half deaf and he thought I was behind him.
He charged straight toward me all 1000+ pounds of
him, I threw my camera one way and dove for cover the
other way and managed to not get stomped. It
took a while to find my camera and some dry pants
but that one perfect shot will always be my favorite.
